We have an exciting announcement. The Boys and Girls Club will be open for Summer Camp at their main facility in Roper Park.
Due to COVID-19, we have limited membership space based on the Department of Health and CDC guidelines.
We normally serve 200 kids during our summer program and this year we are only going to be able to serve a third of that. We are currently full and have a waiting list going. We are hopeful that once restrictions are lifted we will be able to bring in more kids and help more families here in Pickens County.
The changes that we have put in place are for the best interest and safety of our members, parents, staff, and community in mind. We chose to open for the summer because of the demand for childcare needed in our community and with many families going back to work, they need us now more than ever!
The cost for summer camp is $375 per child. There have been more scholarship applications turned in this summer than ever before. Please consider donating to our scholarship fund to help out these families that are struggling. You can call 706-253-2582 or go online to www.bgcng.org to make a donation. We want to make sure NO child is turned away due to lack of funds.
We will do whatever it takes to serve the youth in our communities but we need your help to do it!
