Card of Thanks

Although our hearts are heavy

From the sorrow that we bear

We are comforted to know

How deeply others care

The family of Jerry, “J.J.” Buchanan would like to extend our thanks for each kind deed that was done following his accident, during his hospitalization and passing. Jerry was loved deeply by his family and his unexpected passing has left hearts broken that knew him as a son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend.

Our thanks to the emergency personnel and law enforcement officers that worked the scene, the emergency room staff at Piedmont Mountainside, the medical helicopter flight crew and the ICU doctors and nurses at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Your compassion, understanding and patience will forever be remembered.

To our extended family, neighbors, friends, church family and community a simply ‘thank you’ seems so little for all that was done for us during this tragic time. To each one that took the time to come by in our hour or sorrow, for the food that was brought or sent, the beautiful flowers and the prayers said on our behalf, we can never begin to repay you for your kindness.

Thank you to the preachers, Aaron Adams and Curtis Roland in a time when we needed you the most, you were there with comforting words. Vanessa Blackwell, Jackie Watkins and Idella Elliott and Brent Padgett thank you for the beautiful songs. To those who served as pall bearers, thank you for being there for the family. Our thanks to Cagle Funeral Home for their help and kindness.

To Jerry’s friends and co-workers who participated in the funeral procession on their bikes and in their tractors, he would have been so proud to know you all were with him on his last ride. Your participation speaks volumes of the friendship you shared with him.

May God richly bless each of you for the love and compassion show to the Buchanan family.
