Card of Thanks

Two words - Thank You - does not seem like enough to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who extended kindness to us during Hugh’s illness and passing.

There were so many gestures of support and caring it would be impossible to list everyone; from the flowers sent, to the donations to Antioch Baptist Church, to the food prepared, to the prayers prayed, to the hugs given, to all the “Hugh stories” told, to anyone who came by or thought of us in any way - we will forever be grateful.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Roper Funeral Home and staff for their compassion and professionalism, to Sloan Elrod and the emergency personnel for their exceptional commitment and understanding, to Reverend Buck Parker and Reverend Adam Parker for their words of comfort, and to the singers for their beautiful songs.

Hugh was a special person who was loved and admired by so many. He touched many lives simply by being himself and enjoying life. He was a husband, daddy, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will truly be missed.

Thank you again.
