NamVet is quite right about SEIU (who is tethered to Acorn) visiting he white house. The president of SEIU is Andy Stern, he has visited 22 times. At least.
The log: http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/disclosures/visitor-records
Now, meet Andy Stern: (this is really good!) http://www.breitbart.tv/meet-president-obamas-most-frequent-white-house-visitor/
Obama made no secret that he would consult SEIU (Stern) when crafting Health Care. Here is a fine video of Obama explaining the whole thing:
http://www.breitbart.tv/uncovered-video-obama-leads-seiu-chant-after-vowing-to/
Stern is a Marxist thug who believes, “[W]e prefer to use the power of persuasion, but if that doesn’t work we use the persuasion of power.”
And this gem after the DNC convention in 2008: “rebalancing power between wealth and work” to “make sure everyone shares in the wealth of a growing economy.”
There is a LOT more to this guy's story, but more telling is the fact that Andy Stern is influencing the administration's policies and it MATTERS who the president is spending all his time with.

I want to make this abundantly clear to everyone here. It is a complete fabrication that I made a police complaint based on someone’s political views. I made a complaint of “threatening communications” after I received the following emails at my home from [deleted] after I told him if he does it again, I will carry out a police report: THESE ARE DIRECT QUOTES
9/25/09, 8:52pm: “Telling you point blank that I would knock you on your fat ass if you were to ever try talking to me face to face is not a threat you shithouse lawyer. You can pull that bull [deleted] on a country bumpkin like yourself but not me. Who the hell do you think your [deleted] with? Your warning me for the last time? Who the hell do you think your warning? What are you going to do? Talk more [deleted] . Spew more lies. Twist more words. You do not intimidate me in any manner, least of all in the matter of legal concerns. Your an idiot Rob. A country bumpkin that revels in his total ignorance. You better get a law degree before you try threatening me with it. I happen to know a lot more than you could ever imagine. You want to warn me? Try doing it to my face you [deleted] dweeb.”
9/25/09, 6:42pm: “…I guarantee you you little punk I would knock you dead on your [deleted] if you were to ever try that crap to my face. You won't because you just a little [deleted] with a very big mouth. I'm not the one that is done or better watch myself as you put it you little [deleted] .”
This one came in response to a message I sent saying he looks more insane every time he says this stuff on the message board. I told him he is done with the intimidation.
These are unadulterated, unaltered emails. Since they were sent to me, they are my property and legally able to publish. I repeat, under the law (Oh, and that nagging ‘common sense’ thing) I had a reasonable perception of a threat against me, and I did what I consider the right thing. However, I did tell the deputy that I mean no ill-will toward Chuck and asked him to say that to him. I just wanted this documented and stopped before it went any further. I raised the issue a higher level, because you never know what people will do after overt threats like this. Now the issue of fear: I am over the playground accusations that I am afraid of someone. I have faced fear many times, this isn’t one of them. My reactions were a lot more reasonable than meeting someone at the DQ, or anywhere, for a showdown.
I hope this puts some of your questions to rest. I would ask any one of you, if you received these emails, what would you do?

What if our Generals asked for more troops and the President ignores them. Obama owes us all an answer and now! We have many young men there depending on us to support them. They are there fighting for us. At a minimum, President Obama should give an answer!!
This is why Obama is in over his head. He will clearly be a one term failure with his policies. It is as if he were being coached by the likes of Pinto or Chooch. My god what a horrible thought!!
We were all warned this would happen and I hope lessons have been learned. Next time when someone promises "change," ask "what kind of change?" Don't vote on blind faith or you'll sound and look like Pinto or Chooch.

For those of you who know and revere Dr. Charles Krauthammer, his take on the GOP wins last night:
"I think what this night does is it completely explodes the mythology of the meaning of the 2008 election," said syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer.
"You will remember after the 2008 election people talked ... about a new era, about the Republicans becoming a rump party of the south, even losing parts of the south, how this was the death of conservatism. ... Here we are a year later and we can see how ephemeral and one-shot 2008 was," he added.

I believe someone asked yesterday if it was likely that Ford, being the only manufacturer that did not receive taxpayer funded bailouts, actually benefitted from "big government". Ford benefitted from the taxpayer funded CARS program, in certain aspects but I would turn around and suggest you ask Chrysler how that "hope and change" is working for them right now.

Old Nerd,
I would also direct you and others to Georgia dafamation law. I have read statements to the effect of someone looking into my background because they are afraid for the safety of their son's family, and you claim to wish to avoid me for the same reasons. Publicising these manufactured concerns are meant to impact my reputation negatively. This is what the Georgia statute protects individuals against.
"Defamation Per Se
Georgia recognizes that certain statements constitute defamation per se. These statements are so egregious that they will always be considered defamatory and are assumed to harm the plaintiff's reputation, without further need to prove that harm. Under Georgia statutes, a statement is defamatory per se if it:
•charges another person with a crime punishable by law; •charges another person “with having some contagious disorder or with being guilty of some debasing act which may exclude him from society;” or •refers to the trade, office, or profession of another person, and is calculated to injure him.

There are laws that protect people from someone using their personal, or "public" information for purposes other than it is intended for.
"The Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act makes it a federal crime when someone: "knowingly transfers or uses, without lawful authority, a means of identification of another person with the intent to commit, or to aid or abet, any unlawful activity that constitutes a violation of federal law, or that constitutes a felony under any applicable state or local law."
It is a broad law, and covers a lot of activity that the use of such information would serve someone with ill intentions. Like I said before, everyone has a right to reasonable privacy. You will find that I'm not listed in the phone book. Using an information source that is publicly accessible to further your own agenda, in whatever form that takes, is illegal.
Old Nards, if you want to simply argue your political beliefs, why don't you stick with that instead of whatever personal vendetta you have created in your mind. The only transgression I have committed against you is to show how inaccurate your information is, or to present fact-based retort to your rantings, and intelligent argument based on your beliefs or perceptions.
You can't deal with that, so you start researching me? Act your age, you're supposed to have achieved some level of wisdom by now.

Yes, I realize this is a progress run board but where is a law being broken if I post public information obtained through public records (i.e. phone book, tax papers, library card)? I'm not even saying I want to search for your records. I'm not even trying to make you anxious about stalking but I'm only trying to correct a mis-conception about common privacy.
For example, if I post your real name (as Chooch already has) and address. I am not violating any laws because it has been previously posted in the public phone book. Under the freedom of information law, I have access to mountains of information that is public and not private. It has become even easier in this day of electronic files to obtain quick access to these records. This is why identity fraud is so common now days. The records are not even that secure to begin with.
I could go on for a while but, Rob, I am not stalking you just correcting you on the subject of public records. Please let us know if anyone can find a law that keeps someone from posting public records about a person on a public forum.

This is what we are finding to be typical of the "jobs created" numbers reported by the administration:
WASHINGTON — The federal government sent Bob Bray $26,174 in stimulus aid to fix a fence and replace the roofs on public apartments in Blooming Grove, Texas, a town of fewer than 900 people outside Dallas. He hired five roofers and an inspector to do the job. But the number of jobs he reported to the government looked very different — 450 jobs
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-11-02-stimjobs_N.htm
The man actually hired 6 guys to do the work. The government told him his numbers were wrong... so he sent a spreadsheet showing the total hours. The admin reports to us that project created 450 jobs. This kind of misleading information, I mean lies, are being spread every day.

Pinto, I would be willing to bet that I haven't "lost everyone on this board". I was quite clear on the Dede issue in NY 23. The GOP endorsed a LIBERAL, who claimed to be a moderate. The GOP was foolish to do that, endorsing so-called moderates is a BIG problem for the GOP. Moderates are nothing more than democrats as far as I'm concerned.
Let me know if you require any further clarification, I'll try not to use big words.
Ford Motors, being the only automaker that was NOT taken over by the government, turned a sizeable profit. They did get a boost from CARS, but Ford says CARS only allowed them to make further cuts to make them profittable. The government didn't "bail" them out as you say. People voluntarily spent their tax incentive on cars they wantyed to buy, because they would have bought cars anyway this year. They mostly bought foreign-made cars and Fords, squeezing 2 quarters of sales into one. Quite simply, the other American automakers don't make cars people want to buy. The moral is, government has no business in the private sector. It will ALWAYS do more harm than good.

This story is really telling, about what happens to logical thinkers who dare to disagree with the global warming nuts.
Mike Gallagher wrote about his on-air debate with RFK, Jr on the subject and how cold and angry RFK was. The subject turned to the movement's messiah Al Gore, who lives in a huge mansion in TN that eats thousands and thousands of dollars in energy monthly. He compared it in "A Tale of Two Houses" to a ranch in TX that is energy efficient and extremely miserly. That house is owned by G.W. Bush. In response, Gore did some expensive modifications to his home adding solar panels and a geothermal system. How did that work out for him? The electric bill went UP... tremendously. Not to mention Mr. Gore's trips all over the world in huge jets to speak on global warming for $100K per.
Finally, the threats came. It sounds SO familiar to me. Gallagher said,
"I've come to the conclusion that many of these people are mentally ill. They won't accept any rational opposition, scientific or otherwise, that refutes the global warming theory. Drew Johnson reported that after his organization first revealed Al Gore's electric bill to the general public, his group received a number of death threats. Their computers were hacked. Phoned obscenities were common."
They are all the same. And many of them are in the White House.

By the way, Gerd, you mentioned something about war costs. Well, your president was a big fan of the operations we currently have going on, especially Afg.
You should know, since you are quoting costs, that Medicare and Medicade cost US $700 Billion a year to operate. That is about a billion more than our entire defense budget. Get your head straight.

Pinto, I'm not sure where to start with you. Dede was running as a republican, and the GOP screwed up with their support of her since she is actually a liberal. Since she bowed out, today, she decided to endorse the democrat who was running against her.
All of the other... stuff you said is just typical Pinto. Friday you spoke of Obama as running for "black president". I have to hand it to you, you are consistent. But you're still my favorite wacked-out clown. If nothing else, you sure are entertaining!

Jeep,
I only wanted to know his name so I could avoid any contact with him. Anyway, if you know your way around public records you don't have to pay for it... you can find it yourself.
My only interaction with Rob comes from correcting his lies that fall into the "gray area" of truth. He likes to rattle off statements but, like a bulldog clamped onto a postmans leg, he will not let go of the leg for the prime rib sitting next to him.
