ROB: Guess I was not tactless enough with my posting about spending tax payers money. You whine about taxpayer money being spent for Community Development purposes thru ACORN because of deceptive practices and alleged illegal activity (by the way, the voter registrations that are in question were not only democrats as you alleged, They were also republicans falsely registered by ACORN temporary workers, they were not all democrats as you tried to make people believe, another one of your deceptive and misleading statements to support your rhetoric) then whine when the same government puts controls on how taxpayer money is used to pay people for not doing a job. It doesn't matter what organization it is, it doesn't matter how they got the money. Neither appear to be entitled to it(banking industry executives who have FAILED at the job they were supposed to do definately do not deserve it) but you cry because the government tries to stop another misuse of taxpayer funds. In short if the government was not giving either entity money you would whine about that too and say it wasn't doing enough. You complain when the current administration does not take action and you complain when they do. Much like a little child that has not gotten their way. In short you are talking out of both sides of your faces because you have nothing of any substance so have to create it. "Anything to discredit the current administration. It doesn't matter if I talk out of both sides of my face. Nobody will notice I'm full of crap." Sorry, we noticed a long time ago. But keep showing everyone how stupid and two faced you are. I'm sure it entertains someone besides yourself.

An analysis of global temperatures by independent statisticians shows the Earth is still warming and not cooling as some global warming skeptics are claiming.

The analysis was conducted at the request of The Associated Press to investigate the legitimacy of talk of a cooling trend that has been spreading on the Internet, fueled by some news reports, a new book and temperatures that have been cooler in a few recent years.

In short, it is not true, according to the statisticians who contributed to the AP analysis.

To continue .. in short yes Rob, you are very lucky to have me point they way for you and other totally ignorant hardheaded fools the way. If not for me you would be totally lost as well as ignorant instead of just ignorant. Simply more of the same sensensationalized mis-information from an ignorant source that refuses to face reality.

"If you look at the data and sort of cherry-pick a microtrend within a bigger trend, that technique is particularly suspect," said John Grego, a professor of statistics at the University of South Carolina.
"The last 10 years are the warmest 10-year period of the modern record," said NOAA climate monitoring chief Deke Arndt. "Even if you analyze the trend during that 10 years, the trend is actually positive, which means warming."
I can cut and paste thousands of articles and reports supporting global warming and refuting your ignorance, but it's a non-issue. Most people have enough sense to accept reality. There is always the exception however and they only confirm to others that there agenda has nothing to do with issues, but only placing themselves up on a soapbox to feel important. Try getting a job. You won't feel so insignificant.

Let's all party then!! Rob says the earth is not heating up!!

I'm not sure what exactly your point is? The facts you presented say the earth is heating up but is a "natural process" that just coincides by chance with the increase of man-made pollutants. This may be true but what do you think this will do to our climate? The facts remain that the climate is changing to a warmer state.

Your logic is flawed. As the earth becomes warmer the winters will become shorter. This will indeed increase the "tropical atmosphere" that the Senate article describes but with an increase of vegitation comes an increase of consumption of plant life which in turn increases methane and Co2 which in turn increases oxygen content in air from the plants photosynthesis. See where I'm going genious? At some point the oxygen and methane levels will reach a point of combustion from a spark of say a lightning bolt or static charge.

If the climate goes the other way and we get less moisture, then we all get to live on a giant dust-bowl that supports less to no vegitation. Thus, oxygen decreases...Co2 decreases...plants that can survive die from lack of Co2 and we die from starvation.

In other words, we live in a fragile enviroment that is currently in danger of change... man-made or natural. We have been given intelligence to be caretakers here and not destroyers.

Perhaps if we think for ourselves rather than listening to the government (the same people who told us about the negative effects of nuclear energy, asbestos, lead, etc...etc...had on our health and safety) then we can find a way to minimize the effects of change.

Pinto, are you kidding, unfounded? There was video tape of him at a Burger King to meet a 16 year old girl to have her watch him "have sex with himself" The prosecutor in New York that fialed to prosecute this case was fired after it was learned she kept the arrest and it's disposition from her boss, THE DA! If you had a 16 year old daughter would you let her babysit for him? What about his statments on Al-Jazeera? What do you have to say about that!

Your paraphrasing that "Bush lied" won't get it; they are nothing more than your opinion. You need to use legitimate quotes that can be fact checked. For example, I dare you to find a source for your assertion that Bush said: "Iraq has weapons of mass destruction". It never happended! Try agian.

Robot - what a child. substantiated by what? your opinions? opinions don't count. as I suspected, not a single FACT can support anyting you said in your reply to my post about bush vs. first amendment. jeep - one way is that opponents of the administration are allowed to attend public meetings and voice their opinions. and that's pretty significant, considering that has been allowed throughout this coutnry's history, except during an eight-year gap when bush was president.

You know, that bailout that was supposed to buy up toxic assets as the name implies but which was instead used to invest in banks. Of course banks that didn’t need the money were FORCED to take it anyway. Is it OK for the government to dictate to these banks that were FORCED to take TARP funds? How about those banks that attempted to repay the loans and were refused? We were also against the bailout of the auto industry. Isn’t it interesting that after the billions and billions invested, they STILL went bankrupt and are now owned by the U.S. Government and their Union supporters. Of course we gave a big piece of Chrysler to Fiat and didn’t get a penny for it!

Since we are against the bailout of legitimate companies, we certainly are against taxpayer funds support such an illegitimate organization like ACORN. Are you in support of taxpayer funds being used to support brothels?

Most of what is going on with climate change was inspired by Al Gore, of course. He has been telling the world that polar bears are going extinct because of mankind's capitalistic release of CO2. Did he meet THIS genius?

In September 2007, it was announced that a soon to be released survey finds Polar
Bear population rising in warmer part of the Arctic. Excerpt: Fears that two-thirds of
the world’s polar bears will die off in the next 50 years are overblown, says [Arctic
biologist] Mitchell Taylor, the Government of Nunavut’s director of wildlife research. “I
think it’s naïve and presumptuous,” Taylor said. The Government of Nunavut is conducting a study of the [southern less ice region of the] Davis Strait bear population.

Results of the study won’t be released until 2008, but Taylor says it appears there are some 3,000 bears in an area - a big jump from the current estimate of about 850 bears. “That’s not theory. That’s not based on a model. That’s observation of reality,” he says. And
despite the fact that some of the most dramatic changes to sea ice is seen in seasonal ice areas such as Davis Strait, seven or eight of the bears measured and weighed for the study this summer are among the biggest on record, Taylor said. “Davis Strait is crawling with
polar bears. It's not safe to camp there. They're fat. The mothers have cubs. The cubs are in
good shape,” Taylor said, according to a September 14, 2007 article.

Note: In a case of observed reality versus unproven computer model predictions, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that the polar bear population is currently at 20,000 to 25,000 bears, up from as low as 5,000-10,000 bears in the 1950s and 1960s. A 2002 U.S. Geological Survey of wildlife in the Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain noted that the polar bear populations ‘may now be near historic highs.’

I want to show something to all the liberals who will have us believe that the health insurance industry is making huge profits while the "dead bodies stack up".

THE CLAIMS

_"I'm very pleased that (Democratic leaders) will be talking, too, about the immoral profits being made by the insurance industry and how those profits have increased in the Bush years." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who also welcomed the attention being drawn to insurers' "obscene profits."

_"Keeping the status quo may be what the insurance industry wants their premiums have more than doubled in the last decade and their profits have skyrocketed." Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen, member of the Democratic leadership.

_"Health insurance companies are willing to let the bodies pile up as long as their profits are safe." A MoveOn.org ad.

THE NUMBERS:

Health insurers posted a 2.2 percent profit margin last year, placing them 35th on the Fortune 500 list of top industries. As is typical, other health sectors did much better — drugs and medical products and services were both in the top 10.

The railroads brought in a 12.6 percent profit margin. Leading the list: network and other communications equipment, at 20.4 percent.

HealthSpring, the best performer in the health insurance industry, posted 5.4 percent. That's a less profitable margin than was achieved by the makers of Tupperware, Clorox bleach and Molson and Coors beers.

The star among the health insurance companies did, however, nose out Jack in the Box restaurants, which only achieved a 4 percent margin.

UnitedHealth Group, reporting third quarter results last week, saw fortunes improve. It managed a 5 percent profit margin on an 8 percent growth in revenue.

Van Hollen is right that premiums have more than doubled in a decade, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation study that found a 131 percent increase.

But were the Bush years golden ones for health insurers?

Not judging by profit margins, profit growth or returns to shareholders. The industry's overall profits grew only 8.8 percent from 2003 to 2008, and its margins year to year, from 2005 forward, never cracked 8 percent.

The latest annual profit margins of a selection of products, services and industries: Tupperware Brands, 7.5 percent; Yahoo, 5.9 percent; Hershey, 6.1 percent; Clorox, 8.7 percent; Molson Coors Brewing, 8.1 percent; construction and farm machinery, 5 percent; Yum Brands (think KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell), 8.5 percent

-AP

Thanks for the lies, Democrats!

All scientists are not created equal. The vast majority of reputable researchers will testify that global warming is a fact. That man-made causes of it are fact.

Denying Global Warming ranks right up there with the earlier claims
That all races are not of equal intelligence;
That cigarettes are healthy;
That we will be greeted as liberators in Baghdad;
That the Holocaust never occurred;
That a free market will allow real estate and internet stocks to continue rising in value forever.

Both Chevron and Shell are currently running advertisements where they acknowledge carbon emissions are a worldwide problem and talk about how they are working to address it. Even if their ads aren't exactly on the up-and-up ( I am suspicious) the oil companies aren't denying the science any longer.

This specifically addresses your 700 dissenters

Center for Inquiry Reveals that 80 Percent of ‘dissenting scientists’ in report haven’t published peer-reviewed climate research

Washington, D.C. (July 17, 2009) – The Office of Public Policy, the Washington, D.C. lobbying arm of the Center for Inquiry (CFI), an organization committed to defending scientific integrity, has today dealt a body blow to global warming skeptics by releasing findings exposing the lack of credibility of dissenting scientists challenging man-made global warming. The dissenting scientists are cited in the U.S. Senate Minority Report, a document being hailed by lawmakers opposed to legislation needed to slow global climate change. Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla initially released the report through the office of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, where he is the ranking minority member.

In this Senate Minority Report, almost 700 individuals with implied scientific credentials are offered as evidence that measures to address climate change are premature, and that further research is needed. Sen. Inhofe has used this report to support the claim that there is an ever-increasing international groundswell of scientific opposition to the position of approximately 2,000 scientists whose work is the basis of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Science Report (IPCC) released in 2007. The Center for Inquiry maintains that the Senate Minority report fails to make a credible case that a large number of actual climate scientists take exception to the near-universal consensus of the research community.

based on IPCC data, the Waxman-Markey bill would only impact global temperatures by .044 degrees C (about .09 degrees F) by 2050. (OH MY GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!)There simply are no economic benefits from such a minuscule impact.

Especially since there is no scientific consensus in the first place. Like I said, this bill nor this fruitcake false alarm the left will have us believe have anything to do with climate change.

Or is that still legal to do under this president? I thought we weren’t supposed to get all our info from Wikipedia??

“These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 40 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.” Did those geniuses ever meet these geniuses?

We have “no clue” about what we are posting? That’s really an intelligent statement. The above report was generated by the Senate last year. One thing that almost all scientists agree on is that the science is not perfect. Most actually disagree with what Mr. Gore has been peddling to the eager nuthouse masses. Polar bears are going extinct. Don’t think so. Gore said “the science is settled”… and there is a worldwide consensus as Chuck dutifully claims. Did anyone tell these scientists from around the world?

“In addition, the following developments further secured 2008 and 2009 as the year the
“consensus” collapsed. Russian scientists “rejected the very idea that carbon dioxide may
be responsible for global warming”. An American Physical Society editor conceded that a
“considerable presence” of scientific skeptics exists. An International team of scientists
countered the UN IPCC, declaring: “Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate”.
India Issued a report challenging global warming fears. International Scientists demanded
the UN IPCC “be called to account and cease its deceptive practices,” and a canvass of
more than 51,000 Canadian scientists revealed 68% disagree that global warming science is
“settled.” A Japan Geoscience Union symposium survey in 2008 “showed 90 per cent of
the participants do not believe the IPCC report.” –From the aforementioned report.

How about these “geniuses”:
“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.” - Nobel Prize Winner for
Physics, Ivar Giaever.

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can
speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical...The main basis of the claim that
man’s release of greenhouse gases is the cause of the warming is based almost entirely
upon climate models. We all know the frailty of models concerning the air-surface
system.” - Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology, and formerly of NASA, who has authored more than 190
studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

I guess we’re all just stupid, lying, crazy, racist bumpkins who don’t know what we are posting about. Luckily we have you to show us the way.

First, what an interesting comparison: ACORN and TARP.

I’ll agree that both fall under the category of good money after bad. However, it is hard to read the comparison made here without laughing. Let’s break this down into common sense: Taxpayer money funding an organization who helps hookers skirt the law, and whose workers have violated voter registration laws by turning in over one million fraudulent cards for the Democratic Party, (stop me if you’ve heard this already) whose attorney was our current president of the United States, who received $800,000 for campaign support in 2008, fits neatly on the same plane as the TARP bailout? The CEO’s of 7 firms (Bank of America, AIG, et al) were forced to sign a statement of acceptance of billions of dollars of monetized debt (T bonds) in exchange for stock (more fake money) because they were too big to fail. One man, a “pay czar”, thinks these guys make too much money, so he exercises his government claim as 61% shareholder and cuts salaries by 90%. Now, the other 39% of the shareholders have lost control, as well as the ability to attract any new talent to the board. Let’s say these companies really take a nose dive in spite of all this government “help”. The taxpayers are still left with billions of dollars of worthless stock certificates. All sitting on the national debt. Sound good to you?

You can try to call foul, say I’m stupid, a loon and a girl trying to play a man, a racist and liar all you want. Giggle sheepishly as you wring your hangs and think to yourself “I got him that time!” But in the meantime all of these events are going on under the auspices of the Democratic Party, its leaders in congress, the president and his band of Marxist helpers. At some time it will no longer matter to anyone who you call all these childish names because we will all be in homeless shelters run by the government, or pretty close to it since all sectors of the economy continue to break records concerning how shitty everything is.

For a professional top-level researcher, you have a huge problem seeing what is right in front of your face: I see you had nothing to say about the sub-prime program that got us in this situation (Freddie/Fannie), or the fact that these CEO’s may turn around and sue for their compensation. Or the upcoming bailout of small banks! Did you know about that? Should the federal government be setting pay scales for them too? What about teachers and police? It may be too late for the doctors. What about compensation packages at DOD contractors? Where exactly DO you want the government to stop? Anyone who has the inauguration speech saved on his browser is an all-out Obama groupie, don’t you think? That’s a bit obsessive! Demagogue-worshipping is kind of humiliating. At least the rest of the class can see who we’re dealing with here. (But we already kind of knew that)

NamVet, the weird thing about Obama's stand against Fox is that the Pew survey that showed Fox had the most opposing views on air, of any major news outlet. Compared to NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC, MSNBC. There are domocrats on Fox EVERY SINGLE DAY. There are always opposing points of view and balanced discussion. The other media companies are beginning to see that a war on any media by the government is a war against the 1st ammendment.

Pinto, how in the world you come to your opinion that liberals didn’t get to voice their opinions during the Bush presidency? You have to be kidding. Did you watch the network news at any time in the late 20th century to present? How about Bush’s majority liberal democrat congress he had for his 2nd term? Bush was not in bed with the media, as Obama is. Every voice against Bush was properly amplified by the media, if you don’t know that you are absolutely bonkers.

As far as opposition goes, the sitting president has overtly tried to silence dissent to the greatest degree since Nixon. Again, you are extremely confused on this subject, and need to do some real soul-searching or get your head checked out by a really good psychiatrist.

Bush apparently paid a radio host to talk positively about No Child Left Behind, or so Ted Kennedy asserted. Listen, both payola AND NCLB are abhorrent concepts. The difference here is that Bush wasn’t aligned with the Marxists. And he was brought to task. Obama is doing the same exact thing here. If you think for a moment that health care, at over a trillion dollars is just fine when compared to the Bush presidency, again you are living on a different planet. Believe all you want. The fact is that the Bush admin kept this country safe after 9/11. You can waa waaa about the CIA and waterboarding like all the other sissies, or our war on terror, but the cost of NOT confronting our enemies is much more than action. Now Bush favored, or was caved into supporting a number of flawed issues (Like NCLB... which Obama pledged to overturn during his campaign by the way)but this president is not only bankrupting us, he is systematically squashing our freedoms and operating outside of the constitution. His pink slip is being filled out, and afterwards he will go on record as the worst and most potentially dangerous president to this country in history. Get your head out of the dirt, put down the kool ade and wake up.

I get more and more laughs from reading the things that some people try to make an issue. Lets look at all the postings made about ACORN and tax dollars. About the taxpayers money used to support ACORN. Everybody is against it are they not? You want the government to stop using taxpayers money to support an organization that has a scrupulous past, a questionable past as to it’s operations. Is that not correct? But at the same time when the government says, hold on a minute now, you can’t use the funds we provide to you for that, it is interferring and it’s a socialist take over. The same people that make accusations about the government and the current administration allowing taxpayers money to be used for ACORN and want it stopped, say it is ok to pay financial industry executives millions of dollars in bonuses, using taxpayers money , for failing to do the job they were supposed to be doing. You gripe about the government not stopping the use of taxpayer funds for one thing and then say it is interference and a take over when they do intervene. Typical. So typical. Some of you loons just do not see how stupid you make yourselves look.

By the way Rob, I did not have to check anything you wrote about Obama’s Inaugeration Speech and your lies about him referencing support for Mao Tse Tungs philosphy. Unlike you, I had read it several times and had the reference (link) to it in my favorites on my webbrowser…..I knew it was more of your bull. I didn’t have to check anything, only put a link on the message board so others could see how full of crap you are. I also knew that you would come up with a lame excuse for making a false accusation about something once again. It’s what you do. On a continual basis as well.

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the last century. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation. The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 40 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. (Wikipedia)But Rob, Jeep and others "know" that global warming is phoney. Ok.... Sure thing, people with no expertise in environment know better than scientists from around the world and in every industrialized country. Wonder why none of the geniuses are in meteorology or environment work if they know so much? Answer: Because they have no clue about what they make postings. Nothing new there. Not to mention that stating it does nor exist, then showing it does exists by making postings about who gives off more carbon causing the warming is more than evident of double-speak. Making a posting showing that not all the carbon emissions were considered in a report, also supports that perhaps the warming effect is worse than thought, not less, is a pretty ridiculous way to support the position it does not exist.. LOL. You "geniuses" really give me a good chuckle sometimes.

Rob,

I love it when people use the celsius scale to measure changes in a country using the English System. It always sounds so much smaller than it really is.

Rob, you are right, over the last 100 years (1906-2005) the global temp has indeed shown a net increase of .74 degrees Celsius but if you put it into a figure an American can understand it is 1.33 degrees F and climbing yearly.

According to The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and NASA (Rob you can't dispute these two heavy weights of our "honest" and "trustworthy" government) we are in for a drastic climate change. Over the next century (2000-2100) the change will be between 2 and 12 degrees F. That, Rob, is enough heat to evaporate the ice caps and by doing so increase the severity of atmospheric conditions like tornados, drought, and eventually famine.

This generation (born 1950- today) have an attitude of "It's not my problem!" and "I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!" but we have reached that bridge and its burning down around us.

According to the same two sources, the worldwide oceanic temperature between June-August 2009 was the warmest on record at 62.5 F. That is 1.04 F over the entire 20th century average of 61.5 F. The majority of the temperature change increased between 1971-2005.

If we are the best and strongest nation ever, as Rob tells me very often, then we need to lead China and India into better controls rather than just beating our chests like monkey's in the zoo. Basically, the US is more concerned with making money than caring for our planet. Thats why everthing is so disposable today. Back in the 40's and 50's we continued to fix our possessions until they could not be fixed and re-used everything to no end.

Pinto, you are confused. These executives' salaries and bonuses are contractual. The government didn't just hand them checks, they forced them to accept government bonds worth billions of dollars. In return, the government now owns majority stock in these corporations. The CEO's were made to sign documents that threatened "if they don't agree" then regulators will take the action anyway. They don't have the authority to turn around and give the money away. It aint theirs in the first place. The government certainly made rules about the money. You are as in the dark about this as most of the country is.

NonVet - um, where were you when the bush was president? whenever the man held a public event the audience was screened to make sure no democrats got near him, and they never got the opportunity to voice their concerns like Republicans do today. the media did not televise the protests of unprecedented size at both the bush's inaugurations. at the few town hall meetings he held, the bush always carefully screened teh questions so he didn't have to answer any hard ones. whenever the bush went to a place that was normally public, it was shut off for blocks on all sides for as long as the bush was there. protesters were confined to "protest zones" miles away from where the prez spoke so he wouldn't have to see them. the bush secretly paid numerous "journalists" millions of dollars to peddle his agenda, while they got to act like they were independent (kind of like a stalinist or communist, state-owned news agency). a GAO investigation found this to be illegal use of tax dollars. the bush used taxpayer dollars to produce a commercial that he called a "documentary" to tout the greatness of his Medicare plan, which cost exponentially more than any projection of what Obama's healthcare plan will cost. the GAO also said this was illegal. the bush repeatedly, for eight years, called any reporter or news organization that questioned his lies "un-american, giving comfort to the tarrists, on the enemy's side, etc." dick cheney said americans "better watch what they say" after the 9/11 fiasco. one of bush's lackeys called a white jewish reporter who exposed the torture scandal "a terrorist." one of the media's biggest and longest-running criticisms of Obama before he began the push for healthcare was that he didn't decorate his expensive suit with a cheap American flag pin. I can go on if you want... all this and more adds up to one of Robot's many, many, many, myriad, endless, infinite fears - a "maoist media strategy." we have lived your fear a long time. and don't accuse me of "blaming bush." NonVet - you are the one who just said the bush never acted like this...as always, I am just trying to correct the distortions I see all the time on this board...

Pinto, these financial firms whose executives are having to forfeit 90% of their pay and bonuses, were forced under Hank Paulson and the treasury to accept certain federal funds that we call a "bailout". They had no choice in the matter. TARP was nothing more than a government takeover, not cleverly disguised. The bigger issue is who, or what industry is next?

On the issue of government (I don't believe I've written about that today) If the government cannot prevent 4-year-olds from getting the home buyers tax credit, what makes anyone with half of a brain believe the government can manage health care efficiently, cheaply, and keep illegals from benefitting?

Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Children as young as 4 years old received first-time homebuyer tax credits as the U.S. failed to adequately screen filings, a Treasury inspector general told lawmakers today.

“Some key controls were missing to prevent an individual from erroneously or fraudulently claiming the credit and receiving an erroneous refund of up to $8,000,” Treasury’s J. Russell George told the House Ways and Means Committee’s oversight panel.

Robot - I don't have anything against rich people - just the rich jagoffs who have destroyed this country, the top one percent who are just an arm of the federal govt. most of the bailout money went to executives at big banks - why do you think their salaries have skyrocketed over the last year? why do you think the other 99 percent of people in this country haven't seen a dime of the 9 trillion dollars, most of which the congress is too chicken to try and find out where it went? Robot you should be ecstatic about the bailout programs - its corporate welfare, a form of socialism, the only kind of socialism you like, the kind that has kept this country segregated and derelict since the end of the civil war - the way you like it. and poor people "getting prosperous" off welfare????? ok, I get it - you are joking about that one. because not even you are that stupid. name me one person on welfare who has gotten prosperous, and if you define "prosperous" as owning a big-screen tv and living in a trailer, then you really are lost and jealous and desperate and even more easily manipulated than we already know you are...and again, I see your favorite line against me now is "pick a political position." when your lack of a consistent stance is the same truth I noted about you and glenn beck on this board not too long ago. as I said to jeep, there are better ways to say I'm right than try to repeat what I said without consideration of the context or relevance. you can simply say: "you are right, pinto."
now go back to LH's post about climate change, I know it will take you all day to try to fact check and debunk that one....

Chairman Mao and the Obama administration:

Anita Dunn to students at a graduation ceremony quotes Mao as one of her political and philosophical idols. (From George Neumayr : What might be called dilettantish socialism, of which Dunn's bizarre graduation speech is a species (she thought it "ironic" to couple a mass-murderer with Mother Teresa in her motivational remarks to the graduates), is a recurring problem in this administration, and an expected one given that it reflects the sensibility of the boss.

Ron Bloom, manufacturing czar: “We kind of agree with Mao that power comes largely from the barrel of a gun.”
Obama: "I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here, but we're going to have to work. We're going to have to struggle. We're going to have to fight."

• Pressed by "Joe the Plumber" on the purpose of taxation, Obama fell back on the Marxist fragment "to spread the wealth around."
• His memoirs contain an oblique mention of a Marxist mentor.
• He learned his community organizing from Saul Alinsky and his liberation theology from Jeremiah Wright.
• He blurbed one of the books of a Marxist terrorist and "educator," Bill Ayers.
• Until recently, he was stocking his administration with figures like Van Jones, who openly talked of environmentalism as a tool of Marxist change.
It is appropriate since White House aides are if nothing else pursuing a Maoist media strategy: control debates by trying to ban opponents from them. His press secretary Robert Gibbs even offered a Maoist-style take on Fox: it is motivated by "profit." Why would a company be trying to make profit? Perhaps its property should be confiscated.
Then again that’s also a Marxist priority.
