FOUR LEGGED LOVE
BY: JOAN WILSON
A donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or Animal Shelter of Pickens County in someone’s name would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary, or special occasion present. All donations go to help the pets. Donations are accepted every day at the Shelter and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.
Bring your pets to The Animal Shelter of Pickens County to be micro-chipped for only $25 and to get Distemper shots for $15.
If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who need a forever home to fill with laughter and love:

Hi, I am Annie Oakley, a ten-month-old female Shepherd mix dog. I have a beautiful, soft wheaten colored coat that is so nice to touch. I am a young lady that gets along well with other dogs and cats. I am very smart and with some training I could do tricks like my namesake, Annie Oakley. I weigh about 45 pounds and would make a wonderful companion to walk, ride, and cuddle with. I would be your best friend if you gave me a forever home. Please come visit me and my friends at The Shelter. We are all looking for forever homes. Visiting hours are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesdays through Saturday. No appointment is required. If you can, please donate cleaning materials, pet food, and pet supplies to the Shelter.
PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE (PAR)
Find out more about pets available at PAR for adoption at www.pickensanimalrescue.org or at 706-692-2772. The adoption fee is $100 for dogs and $75 for cats and includes, micro-chipping, spay/neutering and all shots.
Hi, I am Obsidian because my black coat gleams and shimmers so beautifully in the sunlight, but most everyone calls me Obie. I am one year old and I am already house trained. I am a male Terrier mix with a wonderful black and white coat and I weigh 27 pounds. I like kids, people and cats. I am well-behaved and have a calm personality; I don’t bark often. I will sit for you on command and I would love to go for walks and rides with you. You can see more pictures of me on www.petango.com or petfinder.com.
Please come visit me and my dog and cat friends at the PAR Ranch. And, if unbelievably you don’t choose me, there are lots more kittens and puppies here at the Ranch. We are all looking for forever homes. Like all the animals at the PAR Ranch, I am healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all my shots. Visiting hours are by appointment only Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM. Appointments are not needed on Saturday when adoptions are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
