1. Signed Georgia Department of Transportation Local Assistance Road Program (LARP)
Certificate of Ownership and Agreement
2. Closed CDBG Grant #07p-y-112-1-3327 (Burnt Mtn. Center Project) at Jasper Banking
Company.
3. Signed Automatic Aid Agreement between Dawson County, Georgia Fire Stations 8 and
Pickens County, Georgia Fire Station 5, Grandview VFD, a fire department of the State of
Georgia.
4. Adopted Resolution re-appointing Kathy Bruce to the Pickens County Board of Family and
Children Services. The five year term ends June 30, 2014.
5. Bid opening was held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. for 500,000 gallon elevated
water tank. Two bids were received: Caldwell Tanks, Inc., Louisville, Kentucky and Phoenix
Fabricators & Erectors, Inc. of Avon, Indiana. Bids are being reviewed.
6. Bid opening was held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. for WSI- Phase II Water
Lines – 15 bids were received and are being reviewed.
7. Adopted Resolution to change the amount of the TAN (tax anticipated note) from
$2,500,000 to $4,000,000.
8. Adopted an Ordinance authorizing Pickens County, acting by and through the Pickens
County Fire/Rescue Department and/or the Pickens County Emergency Management Agency,
to recover costs for providing fire and hazardous material emergency services; and to recover
costs for damage to fire hydrants.

1. Adopt Resolution appointing Melanie Dallas to the Region One Mental Health, Development
Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Planning Board.
2. Adopt Resolution imposing a wireless enhanced 9-1-1 charge on Wireless
Telecommunications connections within Pickens County, Georgia.
