Why do places of business with double glass doorways unlock only one of the two doors, leaving the entering customer who pushes the wrong side with a clanking, bone-jarring rejection? Why not open – get this – both doors? This is one of the mysteries of post-industrial marketing. Why invite in the public, covet their patronage and yet refuse to open the *!!?% doors? I rebel by opening the closed side myself, as a customer, when I can figure out where the latch is. One time another customer congratulated me on doing so, which kind of made my day.
