Padgett gets Green Thumb award

Keep Pickens Beautiful is proud to announce that July’s Green Thumb award has been presented to Troy Padgett and his Man Cave.

Troy Padgett displays his antique cars in a garden of the prettiest flowers in all of Jasper. Keep Pickens Beautiful has awarded him the Green Thumb Award.
Troy is a long-time Jasper resident who has returned to us after a short stay in Calhoun and added a lot of beautification to Church Street by way of his “Man Cave.”
Troy has taken the closed shop next to Last Catch and turned it into a beautiful piece of nostalgia. Troy displays his antique cars among a garden of the prettiest flowers in all of Jasper.

You can find him there every morning and every afternoon watering his plants and visiting with other residents who just want to stop in, visit and admire his work.     Troy’s red old time service station, collection of cars and flowers are not to be missed. So, if you are in the neighborhood, please take a few minutes and stop by and say hi.

He certainly deserves the award. Just wish I had an opportunity to slow down and enjoy all the beautiful antiques he has displayed. The flowers are beautiful! Congratulations on the award!

"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
