Hold the mayo - Renovations to completely update the interior and exterior of the Jasper McDonald’s are expected to last four weeks.
An Egg McMuffin will have to wait a few weeks at your local Jasper McDonald’s. The long anticipated construction began early Monday morning as the facility was surrounded by contractors and equipment. This landmark local gathering spot was originally constructed in 1989 and has received several renovations during its tenure as a hub for the community and supporter of local athletics, clubs, scout troops, and churches.
Owner Tom Gladin said the new facility will not only continue to provide the atmosphere that the local coffee clubs love, but a look and feel that our Pickens County Millennials will be drawn to as well.
Construction should last approximately four weeks and will provide residents with a facility they will be proud of and one the community can depend on 24 hours a day to meet today’s customers’ needs, as well as serving Breakfast All Day.
As Director of Operations and someone who began his career as a crew member in 1989, Steve Olsen has been the ever-present face of all of the Gladin Organization restaurants. "It's been a walk down memory lane hearing from locals who came by Monday to share stories of their first Big Mac and how their children now work or eat with us. We've had the good fortune of being able to donate several items to local churches and civic groups during the soft demolition phase alone last week," Olsen said.
As the reopen date becomes finalized, interviews will be conducted on-site every Monday from 1 - 3 p.m. at the back of the facility. Ashleigh Olsen, Community Relations Manager for the local franchise stated, "We are seeking enthusiastic individuals, retirees, and students who enjoy the fast-paced, customer-friendly aspects of a people business. It’s what drives our brand." Olsen also added, "McDonald's offers a wide array of scholarship opportunities and assists in various educational avenues from obtaining GED to contributions of up to $7,500 with the "Archways to Opportunity” program and our management classes also transfer as college credits."
