Danny Ryder’s 1970 ambulance will be among the vehicles on display this weekend.
The Professional Car Society and the Professional Car International clubs each with approximately 1,000 members will gather in Jasper, April 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
According to local member Danny Ryder, “We are made up of mainly funeral directors interested in the preservation of funeral cars including hearses, ambulances, limousines, service cars and flower cars.”
Among the stops planned here are the Veterans Cemetery in Canton, several funeral homes and a ride up to Amicalola Falls.
For anyone looking to see the unusual vehicles, the group will have a dinner at Rocco's Saturday at 4 p.m. with cars on display including Ryder’s 1970 ambulance that was used at Chapman Funeral Home.
Group members will be coming from as far away as California, Indiana and Michigan.
