Man stabbed in Cherokee; sheriff seek public's help locating suspect


 Cherokee Sheriff's detectives responded to Northside Cherokee hospital Saturday night after they were notified there was a patient in the emergency room being treated for multiple stab wounds. Brandal Byrd, 43 years old of Canton received stab wounds to his back, head and abdomen. He was released from the hospital after being treated for his injuries.
   Detectives determined that the stabbing took place on Waleska Road near Mill Street in Canton at approximately 8:00 pm. Brian Miller, 28 years old of Canton, is suspected of committing the stabbing. He was last seen driving a dark colored SUV with a cracked windshield. Miller is currently wanted for Aggravated Assault charges related to this incident. Anyone with any information on Miller's whereabouts is urged to call 911.
