Test drive new models, meet pro rider Jason Raines

Dirt bike enthusiasts will want to save the date for the weekend before Thanksgiving, when they will be able test drive brand new Yamaha dirt bikes at an off-road park in Talking Rock and meet six-time AHA National Champion Jason Raines.
“This is a real treat for dirt bikers,” said Talking Rock Arena owner C.J. Tritt, who is stoked about the Yamaha Off-Road Demo Program being held at her arena in north Pickens. “This is very exciting for us to have this caliber of rider to come here and demonstrate the current Yamaha bike lineup. We are a very family-oriented park, and this will be an opportunity for parents, kids and riders to come out and have a good time.”
Tritt said she’s is expecting a big turnout for the event, which will showcase the 2016 Yamaha off-road line. Participants will be able to sign up and try out some of the 12 models on a special course that will be laid out specifically for the program - and all for free.
“This event is the very best of tourism,” Tritt added. “Riders are coming from all over to participate.”
Yamaha’s District Manager for the Southeast Region Chris Bruno said these demonstrations provide off roaders with a unique opportunity that has been overlooked in the market.
“Historically, the dirt bike buyer doesn’t have the opportunity to demo their bike before they purchase it,” Bruno said. “It is a segment that has not been properly served, and this program has been very well received in the four years we’ve been holding them. The riders are enthusiastic and appreciative, and are better able to make a more informed decision, just like people buying cars, and even street bikes, are able to do.”
Bruno said several employees at the Yamaha regional office in Kennesaw, including himself, have ridden at Talking Rock Arena for years, and he echoes the owner’s sentiments about the facility.
“It’s a very family-focused ride park,” he said. “Riding is a great way for families to spend time together, especially with the challenge of things like video games these days. If you like that excitement, it’s a fun for the whole family.”
As an added bonus, Bruno said while professional rider Jason Raines isn’t able to attend all of the demo events Yamaha holds nationwide, he will be at the demo in Pickens.
“Jason has always ridden for Yamaha and he is a great guy,” he said. “We are excited to have him attend at Talking Rock Arena.”
Freedom Power Sports on Riverstone Parkway in Canton is sponsoring the event this year.
“They want to be more engaged and involved with the off road motorcycle community,” Bruno said.
The Yamaha Off-Road Demo will be held at Talking Rock Arena on Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Talking Rock Arena is located at 2019 Antioch Church Road, Talking Rock, Ga.
