Floyd Ray, Agnes Moss, Jimmy Kilgore, Calvin Hendrix, Wm. A. Selley, Jr., Iris Chastain

Floyd Ray
Mr. Floyd Ray, age 61 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at his residence. He was a carpenter and belonged to the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Bob) Ray, Jasper; sons, Chris Couch, Jasper, Ricky Ray, Georgia, and Kerry Ray, Marietta; daughter, LeAnn Ray, Jasper; parents, Nila and James Chumley, Jasper; brothers, Ralph and Jimmy Ray, both of Jasper; and sister, Shirley Brooks, Acworth. Three grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 from Sosebee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Brooks officiating. Interment followed in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Agnes Moss
Mrs. Agnes B. Moss, age 95 of Talking Rock, passed away Wednesday evening, April 23, 2008 at Grandview Health Care Center.
Survivors include her son, Tony Moss, Jerusalem Community; daughters, Ann Dean, Jasper, and Joyce Green, Ellijay; sisters, Opal Davis, Blue Ridge, Ruby Bagwell, Marietta, and Marcell Gartrell, Jasper. Six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26 from Talking Rock First Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Reece and Larry Kelly officiating. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Christopher and Steven Moss, Greg Green, Jared Sweat, Verner Simmons and David Solomon. Cagle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jimmy Kilgore
Mr. Jimmy Robert (JR) Kilgore, age 70 of Talking Rock, passed away at his residence Tuesday morning, April 22, 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Kilgore, Talking Rock; son, Wayne McClure, Jonesboro, Ga.; daughters, Sharlene Kilgore, Calhoun, Cindy and Lisa Moore and Amy Griffin, all of Talking Rock; granddaughter, Amberly Pritchett, Talking Rock; and grandson, Cameron McClure, Deltona, Fl.
The funeral service was held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Payne officiating. Interment was in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta. Pallbearers were: Cameron McClure, Cody Milsap, Amy Griffin, Wesley Dean, Bridgett Fitzgerald and Brice Eaton. Honorary pallbearer was Amberly Pritchett.

Calvin Hendrix
Mr. Calvin A. Hendrix, age 73 of Woodstock, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Canton. He was an Army veteran and member of Arbor Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Danny Hendrix, Jasper; daughter, Debra Free, Woodstock; brothers, Claude and Perry Hendrix, both of Canton, and Grady Hendrix, Buford; and sisters, Parnell Goswick, Dawsonville, and Verneda Hulsey, Canton. Four grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27 from Sosebee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Oneal Evans officiating. Interment followed in Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wm. A. Selley, Jr.
Mr. Wm. Arthur Selley, Jr., age 83 of Winter Park, Fl., passed away on April 23, 2008 at his home. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Faith Selley.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Ann Rosher Selley; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Gene Pless, Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kathy Selley, Raymore, Mo.; grandchildren, Jonathan Selley, Jasper, Jennifer SelleyBowen, Spartanburg, S.C., and Thea, Jason and Cody Selley of Missouri; and great-grandchildren, Alex and Brayden Bowen, Spartanburg, S.C., and Keegan, Gage and Charleston Selley, Kansas City, Mo.
The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on May 23 at 10 a.m. at All Saint?s Episcopal Church in Winter Park, Fl.

Iris Chastain
Miss Iris Retha Chastain, age 91 of Jasper, Ga., formerly of Cartersville, Ga., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Mountain Healthcare Center in Jasper following a period of declining health.
Born May 11, 1916 in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Jackson Chastain. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Onita and Montana Chastain. Miss Chastain had been employed with E-Z Mills in Cartersville where she was a machine operator. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ since her teenaged years.
Survivors include her sister, Miss Blanche Chastain, Jasper; and cousins and other relatives.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Doug Sims and Terry Burress officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper. Pallbearers were: Kent Odell, Lloyd Ferrell, John Chastain, Jake Robinson, Clyde and Bill Cody. Honorary pallbearers were: Terrance Green, Tom Weir and Gene Curtis.
