Hannah Deaver

Hannah Marie Pratt Deaver, 29, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Friday, August 10, 2018.

Survivors include her husband, David Deaver of Gainesville; father, Bruce and Marie Pratt of Jasper; brothers, Glenn Pratt of Omaha, James Pratt of Japan; and best friend, Christina Mayfield of the Ludville Community.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Dr. Craig Chester officiating.   

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Hannah's honor to any suicide prevention organization.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper.

Lauren Neece

February 11, 1965 – August 10, 2018

 

As a much loved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, niece, and cousin, Lauren E. Ford Neece, born February 11, 1965 passed away August 10, 2018.  She was raised by her loving parents Allan Ford Sr. and Beverly Ford. 

She is survived by her husband, William Neece; step-son, Beau Neece; mother, Beverly; and brothers, Allen and Kevin. She has many nieces and nephews, Kevin Jr., Ariana, Joyce, David, Justin and a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved very much. 

She enjoyed raising and spending time with her animals, the outdoors, and most of all interacting with family. Lauren was a vibrant person and touched many lives. She will truly be missed.

Connie Pendley

 

Connie Ann Pendley, 59, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.  

Survivors include, her husband, Grady Pendley of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Brittany Pendley of Jasper, Harold and Brandy Pendley of Jasper; mother, Mary Ann Johnson of Hiawassee; brothers, Gill Johnson and Stephen Johnson of Hiawassee; grandchildren, Caroline Pendley, Kasey Pendley, Shianne Pendley, and Jaden Pendley.  Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Bonnie Fountain

February 08, 1929 - August 18, 2018

 

Mrs. Bonnie Fountain, 89, of Jasper passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Canton Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Fountain is survived by her son, Roger Clinton Fountain of Jasper; daughter, Cathy Caylor of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley & Ronald Duke of Canton; brothers, Thurston (Buck) Parker of Jasper, Bobby Parker of Talking Rock and William Parker of Canton; sisters, Margaret Allen of Tate and Sue Hyde of Jasper; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Moss Fountain, Rev. Johnny McPherson and Rev. Wayne Wright officiating. 

Pallbearers: Corey Pittman, Jerry Parker, Brett Bozeman, Johnny Wright, Donald Allen, Zachary Waters and Robert Bryant. 

Interment was at Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

Clyde Gilreath

October 30, 1949 - August 13, 2018

 

Mr. Clyde Junior (Swance) Gilreath, 68, of Marble Hill, passed away August 13, 2018 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Mr. Gilreath is survived by sons-and-daughters-in-law, Bobby & Heather Gilreath of Jasper, Travis Gilreath & Khristian Pinkerton of Dawsonville, David & Denise Gilreath of Talking Rock; son, Trevor Gilreath of Andrew, South Carolina; daughter and friend, Rebecca Voyles & Tim Jordan of Talking Rock. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

Funeral services were held Friday, August 17th at 2 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Rev. Junior McTaggart, Officiating.

Pall bearers: Austin Yelverton, Bo Gilreath, James Gilreath, Justin Martin, Austin Davis, Dakota Davis, Chris Cheshire, William Mooney, & Honorary: Michael Buchanan.

Internment was held in the Mount Vernon Baptist Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

The family request in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Cagle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Sabrina Gilreath

Ms. Sabrina Turner Gilreath, 39, of Jasper, died Thursday August 9, 2018.

  Ms. Gilreath was born July 20, 1979 in Florida, the daughter of the late Lee and Dorothy Cantrell Turner. She worked in food prep for Subway and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Buddy Nolan, Jr, Cartersville and Jaden Turner, Jasper; fiancée; Zackery Perkins, Jasper; sister, Caterina Buckner, Jasper.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor William Taylor officiating.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 

Card of Thanks

We would like to thank all our family and friends for all they did for us during Arthur’s sickness and death. For all the food, cards and prayers. To the singers who sang so beautifully at the funeral. To the preachers, Grant Wade, Bobby McFarland and Nathan Smith for their comforting words. The beautiful flowers and contributions to the Philadelphia Cemetery Fund. To Kevin Roper and his staff for looking after us so good at the funeral home and the funeral.
