Mr. Garry Wayne Poole, 65, of Jasper passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Mr. Poole was employed for many years with the city of Jasper and was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, S. A. and Willie Mae Blackwell Poole and grandchild, Allison Ray.
Mr. Poole is survived by his wife, Carylon Poole of Jasper; daughters, Tammy Ray of Ellijay and Tabatha Tilson of Jasper; brother, Ronnie Poole of Ellijay; sister, Betty Parker of Jasper; grandchildren, Angela Ray of Jasper, Ashley Ray of Athens, Nicole Hendon of Jasper, Haley Tilson of Jasper, Christopher Tilson of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Buckey Hendon, Phillip Williams, Waylon Williams, Angel Godfrey, and Rylan Hendon, all of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Reverend William Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors being provided by Pickens Chapter #47 DAV.

Johnnie Mae Childers Bailey, 75, of the Sonoraville community, died at Gordon Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2017, following several months of declining health. Johnnie Mae was born in Pickens County on December 22, 1941; she was the daughter of the late John Richard and Hazel Long Childers. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James Bailey. Johnnie Mae loved the outdoors. She possessed a green thumb, and it showed in all her gardening endeavors. She enjoyed the sights and sounds of the animals that lived in the woods that she walked and camped in. Johnnie Mae had a delightful sense of humor, and loved to talk with anyone that would stop and spend some time with her. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Johnnie Mae loved to attend gospel singings. Though she will be missed, thoughts of her will always bring a smile.
Johnnie Mae is survived by her husband of more than 57 years, Wesley Bailey; her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Karen Bailey, Charles and P.J. Bailey, Keith and Kerry Bailey, and Terry and Brenda Bailey; her daughters and son-in-law, Teresa and Rogelio Najera, and Holly Bailey; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hall, Faye Gravitt, and Ethel (Jerry) Knight; her grandchildren, James Leon Bailey, Gary Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Jeremy Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Jayven Bailey, Andrea Touhy, Jessica Barton, Christina Barton, Kayla Ralston, Katelynn Claunch, Kelsie Sauer, Kalias Bailey, Kelita Bailey, Maleah Cornwell, Shealin Bailey, Caleb Bailey, Ariel Silvers, Terrance Bowen, Nicholas Najera, Jazzell Najera, Leatte Hardy, James Sweeney Jr., Skylar Sweeney, Dakota Sweeney, and Flora Anderson; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 14, , 2017 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial followed the service at Hayes Cemetery. Rev. David Baker and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiated. Ethel Knight arranged music for the service. Johnnie Mae’s grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

Barbara Ann Barner, a long-time resident of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away during the light of the full moon on Saturday, November 4, 2017. A lover of nature and all animals, Barbara’s final hours were devoted to her beloved cats. Special thanks for the compassionate care of Dr. Lyn Lewis, Tyla Echuck, and Hayley Adams at Wayside Animal Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, LisaMarie Lozon and son-in-law Patrick Daniel Lozon; grandson, Chandler John Nelson and her adored hand-picked family of many.
She was predeceased by her father, Col. John H. Barner and mother, Thelma J. Barner.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, November 18th at Pickens County Senior Center from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara Ann Barner may be made to North Georgia Community Action for Pickens County Veterans and their families.

Mr. Dearrll Lee Beck, 75, of Talking Rock passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Sheila Beck of Talking Rock; sons, Daniel Beck of Talking Rock, Ricky Beck of Alabama, son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Penny Beck of Talking Rock; daughters, Sandra Ryan of Canton, Michelle Beck of Cartersville; step-daughter, Shannon Smith of Jasper; brother, Larry Beck of Jasper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Carolyn Beck of Marble Hill, Jimmy and Linda Beck of Tennessee; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Melvin Cheek of Calhoun; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Kelly officiating.

Mrs. Jenifer Allgood, 29, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Northside Cherokee Hospital.
Jenifer is survived by her husband, Alex Allgood of Fairmount; mother, Angela Troglin of Fairmount; father, Johnny Troglin of Douglasville; son, Brayden Murray of Fairmount; daughters, Kylie Hawkins, Kaydance Troglin and Kamille Murray, all of Fairmount; brother, Nicholas Troglin of Jasper; grandparents, Gene and Sharon Troglin of Jasper and Lonzo Ellis of Cleveland, Ga. and Lois Sweat of Douglasville; nephew, Tanner Troglin of Jasper.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Mock officiating. Internment was held at Lake Forest Memorial Park.

Ms. Diana Biddy, 47, of Alpharetta, Ga. passed away Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 at her residence.
Diana is survived by her parents, MJ and Judy Biddy of Austell; twin sister, Dee Biddy Hertlen of Winston, Ga.; niece, Lucinda & Trevor Blalock of Winston, Ga.; nephew, Travis Hertlen of Winston, Ga., Hershel and Bill Eller and Fletcher and Agatha Biddy.
Ms. Biddy is preceeded in death by her grandparents and aunt, Mamie Lee Biddy.
Visitation will be Friday, November 17 from 4 until 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 18th from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18th in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matthew Meers officiating.
