David Richard Peardon, 60, of Talking Rock, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was born November 11, 1956 to Roy Henry and Marie Peardon in Newark, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Peardon of Talking Rock; children, Dava Hurt, Jennifer Stookey, Angela Bosshart, Russell Avery, Karen Hulen; brothers, Edsel Peardon, Ronald Peardon, Allen Peardon; sisters, Margaret Sewell, Shirley Peardon; fourteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Living Word Church at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Living Word Church in honor of Mr. Peardon.

Carl Palmer, 80, of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Palmer was born July 6, 1936 to the late Dainie and Eustis Palmer in Manchester, Georgia.
Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Janet Palmer of Jasper; children, Douglas Lee Palmer of Lilburn, John Forrest Palmer of Tucker, Joel Barry Palmer of Hoschton; grandchildren, Douglas Lee Palmer Jr., Allison Allen, Matthew Palmer, Sarah Moore, Anna Palmer, Jackson McKibbin, Alyssa Coble, Andrew Coble; great-grandchildren, Cristopher Levi Palmer, Peyton Douglas Allen, Jay Coble; sister, Dianna Revels.
A private family memorial service was held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal rescue of choice in Mr. Palmer’s name.

Betty Sosebee Green, of Nelson, Georgia, passed away at her residence on June 2, 2017 just two days shy of her 90th birthday. She was the daughter of the late Hill and Jeanette Sosebee, also of Nelson and sister to the late John Hilliard Sosebee and Virginia (Jenny) Watkins Hufford of Gainesville.
Surviving are her three daughters, Virginia McCann of Atlanta, Pat Hughes of Holly Springs, and Annette (Gary) Ledford of Tate. Seven grandchildren, Terri Combs, Stacey Gaglione, Matt (McKenzie) Hughes, James Eubanks, Aimee (Mike) McLean, Christy (Hal) Hamrick, Eric Ledford; eighteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of much loved nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Betty was a member of the Ball Ground Methodist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including gardening, raising goats and chickens, reading, painting, and knitting, but nothing pleased her more than spending time with her children, their families, a favorite cousin (Fran Bishop) and her friends.
A private family service was held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Georgia.

Mrs. Crystal Dawn Wittling, 31, of Ball Ground, GA, died Wednesday May 31, 2017.
She was born December 12, 1985 in Gwinnett County.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Wittling; parents, Douglas & Yvonne Waters Padgett; brother, Steven Padgett of Jasper; sister, Kristy Ingle of Ellijay; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Angela Wittling; sister-in-law, Alexis Wittling; brother-in-law, Jimmy Wittling, all of Superior, WI; nieces & nephews, Brittany Reed, Brent Padgett and Tyler Padgett, all of Marble Hill; Mackenzie Padgett and Chloe Padgett of Jasper. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30 at 2 p.m. from the Arbor Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Sanford Fountain and Rev. Greg Long officiating. Music was by Larry Padgett. Pallbearers were: Dempsey Jumper, Brent, Tyler and Chris Padgett, Randall Buchannan, Lee Williams, and Jimmy Wittling. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Minnie L. Talley, 81, of Ball Ground, GA passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Fred H. Talley, Sr.; brother, John D. Shepherd; parents, Perry and Lola Messer Shepherd.
Mrs. Talley is survived by her daughter, Janice Gayla Talley-Riddle, Ball Ground, GA; son, Fred H. Talley, Jr and wife, Gina, Talking Rock, GA; grandchildren, Seth Douglas Talley and his wife Heather, Erica Brooke Celler and her husband Eric, Emily Armanda Talley, and Ashleigh Lynn Riddle; great grandchild, David Grayson Riddle; sisters, Betty Tallent, Greenville, SC, Janice C. and David Younce, Murphy, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Maxine Shepherd, Candler, NC, Robert and Judy Shepherd, Ray and Barbara Shepherd, Kenneth and Shirley Shepherd, Raymond and Laverne Shepherd, all of Franklin, NC; and brother Steve Shepherd, Franklin; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Talley was born on July 17, 1935 in Franklin, NC. She was a 1953 graduate of Franklin High School. She worked for the state of Georgia in food services, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Talley was a member of Ball Ground United Methodist Church, and a member of Overseas Dancers Association. She enjoyed traveling and square dancing.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Rev. Ash McEuen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Minnie Talley.

Mrs. Kaye Little, 71, of Canton, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Little lived her life trusting in the Lord. She was a devoted christian and mother who dearly loved her family.
Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ivy Ardell Little; daughter, Kristy Leigh Trippe and parents, Rev. Robert Jesse and Ruth Mae Smith. Survivors include her children, Kevin Douglas Smith and Tearsa Kaye Helton; sisters, Faye Jarrett and Sharion Manous; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
