Mary Ruth Weaver
    Mrs. Mary Ruth Weaver, age 66, of Ellijay died Sunday January 3, 2016.
    Mrs. Weaver was born September 17, 1949 in Pickens County the daughter of the late Glanton “Bud” and Ruth Gibson Mullins. She was a homemaker and member of the County Line Baptist Church. Her parents, husband Reggie Weaver and brothers Jimmy and John Mullins preceded her in death.
    Survivors include her daughters and son–in-law, Abby Weaver of Ellijay and Andrea and Tommy Gartrell of Jasper; mother-in-law, Evelyn Knight, Ellijay; grandson, Eric Baker; granddaughter, Cora Gartrell and Rece Gartrell; brother, Bill Mullins of Jasper also survive.
    Funeral services ware scheduled for Wednesday, January 6th at 2 p.m. from the County Line Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Banks, Rev. Eddie Kerr and Rev. Jess Posey officiating. Pallbearers are Eric Baker, William Mullins, Alan Mullins, Danny Prather and Don Boggus. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
    Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Jennings Young, 34 Oakmont Dr. Jasper, GA. 30143 in memory of Mrs. Weaver.

David Lewallen
April 3, 1962 -
December 30, 2015

    William David "Lewy" Lewallen lost his battle with cancer on December 30, 2015, the only battle he ever lost. He was a fighter until the end. He was a kind-hearted man, always full of good intentions, who loved his family and his biker family dearly.
    He is survived by his mother, Doris Beard of Canton; grandfather, Leroy Childers of Holly Springs; sister, Denise "Jayde" Tatum of Jasper; daughters, Jessica Grant and Kaylee King of Woodstock and their families, Jesse and Michael Lewallen of Canton and two grandsons and one granddaughter.
    The memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016.
    He is greatly missed by all his friends, near and far. "Don't fear dying, fear not living. Let's Ride."

Sarah Eubanks

    Mrs. Sarah Ella Eubanks, age 89, of Ball Ground passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Pruitt Healthcare in Jasper.  Sarah was born May 2, 1926 to Grady and Ada Gayton in Dawson County. 
    Sarah is survived by her husband of 71 years, Junior Eubanks; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Charles Holbert of Talking Rock, Shirley and Mark Chadwick of Ball Ground; grandchildren, Charlie and Lori Holbert, Angela and Chad Presley, and Shane Chadwick; great-grandchildren, John Holbert, Josh Holbert, Ella Holbert, Dalton Presley, Allie Presley, Shae Chadwick, and Sy Chadwick; brothers, Grady Gayton of Jasper, and T. J. and Judy Keener of Nelson. Several other relatives also survive.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Bethesda Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Chester and Reverend Grant Wade officiating.  Interment followed in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charlie Holbert, Shane Chadwick, Sy Chadwick, John Holbert, Josh Holbert, Dalton Presley, Chad Presley, and Brian Keener.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethesda Baptist Church – Mr. Kenneth Howell; 681 Jordan Road; Ball Ground, GA  30107.
    Arrangements were entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper.

Wayne Collis
March 10, 1943 –
January 1, 2016

    Mr. Wayne Collis, age 72, of Jasper passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home. 
    He is survived by his wife, Brenda Vick Collis of Jasper; children, Lori & Steve Hill of Talking Rock, David & Angie Collis of Jasper, Jamie Collis of Jasper, Shauna & Jason Coleman of Jasper; brother & sister-in-law, Donnie & Deborah Collis of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry & Alvin Cannady of Jasper; grandchildren; Stacia Hancock, Stephanie Mathews, Leah Collis, Katie Collis, Xavier Collis, Cheyenne Coleman, and Jake Coleman; great-grandchildren, Skyler Hancock, Jaycee Hancock, Levi Mathews, and Addison Mathews.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. 
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Wallace Parks and Reverend Charles Gay officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. 
    Arrangements were entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper.

James Prince
April 25, 1941 -
December 30, 1941
    James Prince, age 74 of Talking Rock passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
    He is survived by his son, Terry Mills of Canton; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Stokes-Zuniga and Javier Zuniga Barbosa of Jasper and Louise Gaydon of Pikeville, TN; brother, Wilburn Prince of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Jack Blackwell of Jasper; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lyla Prince, son Ricky Mills, daughter Deborah Prince and mother Ruby Prince.
     Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Gayton officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving were Jimmy Blackwell, Ronnie Blackwell, Jackie Blackwell, Judd Blackwell, Josh Bell, and Javier Zuniga Barbosa.
    In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Cagle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Thelma Fields

    Mrs. Thelma Bradley Fields, age 102, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Grandview Health Care Center in Jasper, Georgia.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Fields, and her parents, Pat and Addie Bradley.
    She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Helen Pharr and Patsy and Tom Daniel; four granddaughters and grand-sons-in-law, Dana Daniel, Anna and Mark Stevenson, Thelma (Bay) and Bill Cagle, Donna and John Mullins; six great-grandchildren, Kerra Mullins, Kyler Mullins, Konner Mullins, Katie Cagle, Nathan Cagle, and Sydney Barnes.
    Funeral services will be held at Long Swamp Baptist Church, 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 with Reverend Harold Cantrell, Reverend Edwin Weaver, and Brother Jerry Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Long Swamp Baptist Church or CARES, Inc.
