Ruth Weatherhead
    Ruth Louise Weatherhead, age 100, was born in Holyoke, Minnesota on August 28, 1915. She passed away on Oct. 10, 2015 at a south Florida rehab at Leesburg, Fl.
    Ruth was married to Hugo Schultz from July 1929 until he drowned in a southern Minnesota lake in April, 1957. She married Don Weatherhead in August of 1966. Don passed away in February of 1972 from complications from a surgical procedure. Also preceeding Ruth in death were brothers Alvin and George Hermel and sisters Esther Hicht and Irene Kokoschke.
    Ruth is survived by brother and sister-in-law Clarence A. (Tony) and Helen Hermel of Talking Rock and sister Helen Combs of Huntsville, AL. Survived by three children Duwayne (Karin) Schultz of Clayton, Ga., Deanna (Larry) Acord of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Illona (John) Weatherhead of The Villages in Florida.
    Ruth was known for her loyalty as a friend, for her sense of humor, and for her ability to live life on the “sunny side”. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
    Ruth was buried next to Hugo in a North Morristown, Minnesota church cemetery.

Cole Chester
    Cole Wyatt Chester, age 3 months, of Jasper passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., on Monday, October 19, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Tillery and Rev. Ricky Jarrett officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Memorial Park.
    He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Nell and Junior Chester.
    Survivors include his parents, Trevor and Kalei Chester of Jasper; brother, Hunter Chester of Jasper; grandparents, Bobby and Cindy Chester and Dewayne and Kathryn Hancock, all of Jasper; grandmother, Cindy Armour of Canton; great- grandparents, Kendra and Mike Kessler of Canton and Barbara and James Buchanan of Jasper; great-grandmother, Eve Stapler of Jasper; great-grandfather, Jim Reed of Lexington, SC; Great- grandfather, T. G. Armour, Canton; great-great grandmother, Virginia West of Canton.

Glenda Cassidy
    Mrs. Glenda Wylene Cassidy, 70, of Jasper passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at her residence.
    Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Jones and Coy Roper officiating.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cassidy; parents, Everett and Banah Roper; sisters, Frances Roper, Mary Ellen Woods and Lola Johnson; brothers, Imey, Coy, Melvin, Max, Kenney, and Jackie Roper.  Survivors include her daughter with whom she resided, Shirley (Joe) Goss and their 3 children, Sabrina, Katie Joe and Joseph; Patsy (Richard) Setser and Sue Ellen Burgess; step-children, Dale Lewis and Keith Cassidy; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Roper and Geraldine Roper; 16 Grandchildren; 17 great  grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donald Page
    Mr. Donald H. Page, age 69 of Jasper, passed away at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital on Sunday October 18, 2015.
    He is survived by his wife Pat Page of Jasper; sons & daughters-in-law, Tommy & Jenny Page of Ball Ground, Shane & Tonia Page of Jasper; daughters, Michelle Page of Smyrna and Tammy Goss of Jasper; brother & sister-in-law, Ricky & Sheila Page of Canton; sister & brother-in-law, Janice & Berry Henderson of Canton; goddaughter, Lexi Goforth; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grant officiating. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Blackwell, Donnie Reynolds, Buddy Goforth, Dewey Cantrell, Larry Caldwell, Chad Lingefelt and David Haithcock. Honorary pallbearers were John Patterson, David Goss and Bill Taylor.

Martha Mullinax
    Mrs. Martha Mullinax, age 91 of Jasper passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care in Jasper.
    She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Shirley Fowler of Canton, Karen & Ronnie Cantrell of Ellijay; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by her husband, Dilliard Mullinax; son, Johnny Mullinax; daughter, Judy Mullinax and great-grandchild, Joshua Richards.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m, Friday, October 16 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Ray and Rev. Gene Childers officiating.  Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Mullinax, David Mullinax, Mark Mullinax, Douglas Mullinax, Roger Wooten and John Barkley.
