Mr. Leonard Paul Whitfield, age 85, of Canton passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.
He is survived by his brother, Mack Whitfield of Ball Ground; sisters, Grace Wofford, and Jewell Fately. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family received friends on Sunday and cremation took place after the visitation/viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
Helen Marjorie Buchanan Howell, age 86 of Cumming, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Howell; parents, Harley and Lottie Buchanan; brother, Willard Buchanan.
She is survived by her sons, Sammy (Dianne) Howell of Ball Ground and Dennis (Cherri) Howell of Marble Hill; daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Bagby of Cumming; brother, Dillard Buchanan of Marble Hill; sisters, Faustine Duckett of Ball Ground, Marcelle Bozeman of Marble Hill; grandchildren, June (Brandon) Densmore, Jimmy Howell, Bridget (Tim) Wyatt, Jammie (Benny) Hopkins, Blake Howell, Brooke Bramblett, Jonathan Howell and fiancée Becky Lively, Brent (Felicia) Howell; 22 great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 30th at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernie Worley, Rev. Dusty Holtzclaw and Rev. Brent Howell officiating. Interment followed in Conn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, c/o Sheila Clark, 6195 Dahlonega Highway, Cumming, Georgia 30028.

February 1, 1962 – July 23, 2015
Mrs. Nancy Regina Cantrell, age 53, of Talking Rock passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Regina was born February 1, 1962 to Howard and Imogene Bowers in Cumming, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Cantrell of Talking Rock; mother, Imogene Bowers of Jasper; children, Patricia Bryant of Jasper, Charles and Amanda Cantrell of Talking Rock, Angel Cantrell of Talking Rock, Justin and Becky Cantrell of Jasper; sisters, Brenda Castleberry of Jasper, Pam Padgett of Jasper; and nine grandchildren. Other family members also survive.
Regina was preceded in death by her father, Howard Bowers and sister, Kathy Howard.
The funeral service was held Sunday, July 26 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment followed at Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers.

James Melvin Robbins, age 47, of Jasper passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Melvin was born February 29, 1968 to James Robert and Lois Adele Robbins in Alany, Maryland.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Shannon Robbins of Jasper; mother, Dale Robbins of Acworth; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dianne and Gary Childers of Jasper; sisters, Sherry Pritchett of Acworth, Irene and Darin Musser of Woodstock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Von and Tracy Headrick of Jasper, Kyle and Anna Headrick of Dawsonville; nieces and nephews, Lindsey Headrick, Lucas Headrick, Ryan Headrick, Ashley & Stephen Taylor, Emily Pritchett, and Nick Pritchett.
Melvin was preceded in death by his father, James Robbins.
The funeral service was held July 30 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Pall bearers were Lucas Headrick, Ryan Headrick, Pete Holquin, Tommy Pritchett, Jackie Childers, Vestel Davis. Honorary pall bearers are Von Headrick, Kyle Headrick, and Brad Jenkins.

Joan Bernice Butler, age 79, of Jasper passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Sonshine Manor in Jasper.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Catherine Zipse of Jasper, Craig Zipse of Jasper, Michael and Holly Zipse of Conroe, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Spencer Stiles of Guyton, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and George Matthews of Melbourne, Florida; daughter-in-law, Carla Zipse of Jasper; grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Andrew Bolin, Kristin McGraw, Ashlyn Bolin, Phillip Zipse, Alice Zipse, Madison Zipse, Alexandra Zipse, Ashlyn Zipse; one great-granddaughter, Ava McGraw, nieces and nephews, Gregg and Kristi and Kurt Matthews; and great-niece, Kaley Joan Matthews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 15 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Colonel Kurt Matthews conducting the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Following the memorial service, a Celebration of Life will be held at Craig’s house at 423 Hidden Creek Road; Jasper, GA.

Don Dean, age 76, of Palm Dale, California, formerly of Ball Ground, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Surble and Irene (Reece) Dean; brother, Mike Dean; brother-in-laws, Charles Porter and Marion Clayton; father-in-law, James M. Clayton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita (Clayton) Dean; Son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Tammy Dean of Las Vegas, NV.; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne & Rusty Speas of Menifee, California; four grandchildren, Andrea and Russell Speas, Rachel Dean and Chaylene Knickelbein; three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lucy and Lillie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Juanita Dean of Ball Ground, Bob and Wanda Dean of Marietta; sister Faye (Dean) Porter of Lawrenceville; sister-in-law Charlotte (Reece) Dean of Ball Ground; mother-in-law Louise Clayton and family; numerous nieces and nephews whom he all loved also survive.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 8th at 2 p.m. at Sharp Mountain Church Fellowship Hall in Ball Ground.
The eulogy will be given by his nephew, Dr. Jerimy Bruce. Singers are niece Mary Bruce and nephew Josh Prince.
Mrs. Ader Mulkey, age 77 of Talking Rock passed away at her residence in the early morning hours of July 31, 2015.
Survivors are her husband, Albert Mulkey, Talking Rock; two daughters, Linda Hembree and Phyllis Mulkey, both of Talking Rock; three brothers, Waldo Stone, Cisro Stone and Roscoe Stone, all of Talking Rock; two sisters, Erumagene Stone, Taking Rock and Arewill Mulkey, Ranger; four grandchildren, David Chastain, Joyce Cobb, Wendy Chastain and Tasha Hembree; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Black Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Mulkey officiating, Interment followed at the Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Ramond Young, Chris Stone, David Chastain, Ronnie Davis, Donnie Davis and Matt Young. Honorary pallbearer was Jeffery Stone.
