Kenneth Nelson

 

Kenneth Allen Nelson, age 81 of Canton, passed away Sunday May 24, 2015 at his residence. 

Visitation will begin Wednesday May 27, 2015 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday May 28 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Dr. George Anderson officiating. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will be held in Cherokee Memorial Park. 

Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife; Margaret Nelson, Canton; sons; Jeffery Kenneth (Leigh) Nelson, Jasper; Jamie (Jamie) Nelson, Jasper; sister; Barbara Nelson Weiss, Biloxi, MS; six grandchildren, Anna (Brady) Bennett, Ashley Nelson, Amanda Nelson, Chase Nelson, Kenneth Nelson and Elena Nelson. He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald Allen Nelson and brother, Jack Nelson.

James Padgett, Jr. 

 

James (Bud) Leon Padgett, Jr., age 28, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Padgett, Ball Ground; parents, James & Ann Padgett, Ball Ground; father-in-law, Doug Marcum, West Virginia; mother-in-laws, Dema Marcum and Aretta Marcum both of West Virginia; daughters, Amber Padgett and April Padgett, Ball Ground; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Becky & Jason Little, Ball Ground and Brenda & Richard Evans, Jasper and several nieces and nephews.  James was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethanie Padgett.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Boling officiating. Interment followed at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Little, Richard Evans, Nathan Evans, Jeffery Evans, Wayne Padgett, Lil Buddy, Mitchell Little and John Blackwell.

The family accepted flowers but prefer donations to Cagle Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.

Ricky Mills

 

Ricky Mills, age 56, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his residence. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 23, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Elliot officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.,  Thursday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, May 22, and from 10 a.m. until funeral hour, Saturday, May 23 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, Mother-Lila Prince; Father-James Mills; Sister-Debra Prince

Survivors include his wife  Elaine Mills, Canton; step-Daughter, Lisa Knight, Canton; 

grandson, Tommy Knight, New Mexico; granddaughter, Kendra Smith, Canton; brother, Terry Mills, Canton; sisters, Nancy Stokes, Jasper and Louise Gayton, Tennessee.

Tony Cochran

 

Mr. Tony Ray Cochran age 58 of Ellijay died Wednesday May 20, 2015. 

Mr. Cochran was born May 29, 1956. He is the son of the late William Henry and Ora Faye Jones Cochran. He was a Pickens High School graduate and worked as a handy man. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jackie Cochran and special friend, Dana Logan Cochran. 

Survivors Include: his sons, Jared and Jerimiah Cochran; sister, Dorothy Cochran; brothers, Gary, Herman, Kenny, Danny, Baryon and Randy Cochran; 1 grandchild; special friend Ricky Sanford; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 24th at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Emuel Sanford and Rev. Kenny Cochran and Ricky Sanford officiating. Music was by Joan Bradford.

Warren Singleton

Mr. Warren Singleton, age 50, of Jasper passed away at his residence on Monday, May 25, 2015.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Clegg and Ken Roberts, Douglasville, Amy Duckett and David Wright, Jasper and Donna and Bryan Golden, Bowling Green, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Singleton Blackwell and father, Durl Lamar Singleton.

Visitation began on Tuesday, May 26 and continued until the  funeral hour, Thursday, 2 p.m, May 28 at Four Mile Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Jarrett officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Duckett, Kyle Duckett, Morgan Clegg, Greg Bryant, Devin Golden and Wayne Lampp.

The family will accept flowers but prefer donations to Cagle Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
