Pets of the Week for May 14

FOUR LEGGED LOVE

05-13-15

BY

JOAN WILSON-GORDON

A tax deductible cash donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or The Animal Control Shelter of Pickens County in someone=s name would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary, memorial or special occasion present and would help make sure no Buddy is left behind. A donation of food, money, toys, or supplies will make a big difference in the lives of homeless pets.  Volunteers are also needed. All donations go to help the pets.  Contributions are accepted every day at the Pickens County Shelter, PAWS on Main and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.

If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who needs a forever home to fill with laughter and love.

THE PICKENS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (THE SHELTER)

Volunteers are welcome and needed.  Please stop by the Shelter and sign up for a time and activity to help with the animals.  They and the staff appreciate it.

The Adoption Fee is $90.00 for most dogs.  Inquire about the two for one specials ($45 each) and the sponsored pets (free to qualified homes).  Most cats and kittens are free to qualified homes.  Check with the staff for details.   The adoption fee includes shots and spay or neutering.  Find out more about adopting pets at The Shelter at www.petango.com or:

BELLE—female, plot hound mix puppy

I am Belle, certainly the Belle here at the PAR Ranch.  Not only am I a beautiful brindle color, I am youthful – just four months old and I am the ONLY girl in a litter of seven puppies.  I have a short tail and I weigh about 20 pounds.  Of course I am still growing.   My six brothers are here at the Ranch also and they are all different colors.   Some are black and brindle like me, some are black with white markings, some have short tails (like me) and some have long tails.

We all have lots of energy, but I am the calmest.  I pose well for pictures and I do well on a leash.  We are all learning new commands each day.

I hope you will come visit us soon at the PAR Ranch.  We have made lots of dog and cat friends here.  And all of us are ready to fill someone=s home and life with love, companionship, and joy.  I know we could be each other’s closest and best friend.

You can see more pictures of all of us on www.petfinder.com or at www.pickensanimalrescue.org.

All the animals at the PAR Ranch are healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all their shots. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Appointments are not required.
